About RPSC Food Safety Officer
Rajasthan Public Help Commission had a heavenly past of almost 70 years. In 1923, the Lee Commission recommended establishing a Central Public Service Commission in India, but it did not consider the necessity of provincial commissions of a similar nature. It was largely up to the provincial governments to choose who they wanted to recruit and how they wanted to manage their services. Only three of Rajasthan’s 22 founding states had established the Public Service Commission at the time of its establishment: Bikaner, Jodhpur, and Jaipur.
According to a publication in the Rajasthan Gazette dated August 20, 1949, the Rajasthan Public Service Commission Ordinance, 1949 came into effect following the integration of princely states. Section 1(3) stipulates that the aforementioned ordinance should take effect on the date of publication of the appointment notification in the official Gazette, which occurred on December 22, 1949. Thus, on 22 December, 1949 the Rajasthan Public Help Commission was laid out , or as such the Rajasthan Public Help Commission became effective from 22 December, 1949. In the constituent states, PSCs or other institutions carrying out PSC-like functions were banned by ordinance dated August 16, 1949. The ordinance also specified, among other things , the Commission’s staff, functions, and composition.
