Namita studied Chartered Accountants (CA) from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Later, she went to the US for her further studies. In the US, she received her MBA post-graduation from Fuqua School of Business, North Carolina. After finishing her MBA, she began working in the US itself. Namita held the position of Business Financial Lead in the Financial Department Planning of Glasgow and Guidant Corporation (now Abbott) in the US.
She served for this company for about Six years in many financial characters. After this, in the year 2007, she returned to India after giving a leave. Coming to India, she joined her father’s company, Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited. She starting managing the finance portfolio as CFO at Emcure and has since held key characters in M&A, IT, Global Compliance, HR, and Domestic Marketing. She is a person of the Executive Board of Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited and recently heads Emcure’s India business, managing over 4000 medical representatives across 15 key therapeutic areas across India.
Apart from this, Namita Thapar is also the owner of Young Entrepreneur Academy, a franchisee of Incredible Ventures Limited, USA, which teaches businessman to children in the age group of Eleven to Eighteen years. Currently YEA is operational in Six cities of India namely Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai, and Ahmedabad. Namita also serves as a Board Member on the India Regional Advisory Board of the Fuqua School of Business. She also serves as a Board member of Finolex Cables and is an active member of the Young President’s Organization (Pune).
